The main obstacles for Employers finding the best Candidates themselves are:
• TIMING – In a candidate short market, the chances of attracting the desired candidate from one advertising campaign is rather remote, and even more unlikely if the skill requirements are specific as they often are with Technical roles. Good candidates are usually busy, they don’t have the time to continually search for job opportunities.
• DILUTED ADVERTISING – Due to comparatively low cost, the Internet Job Boards, that now account for the vast majority of Job Seeker Activity, are very highly populated with ads. Most of these are Recruitment Agency Ads designed to boost their databases. This has 2 negative effects, one being that as an Employer, any advertising you place is at risk of becoming significantly diluted due to the sheer quantity of ads around it, the other being that good Candidates are becoming disillusioned by the enormity of the quantity and sometimes questionable quality of the advertising. These findings are based on feedback that we continually get from our Applicants.
• BUSY SCHEDULES – A lot of employers do not employ dedicated Recruitment Officers, and therefore the task of recruiting is usually passed on to somebody in Middle Management, who already has an extremely busy schedule. So Advertising response, Interview Scheduling, Reference Checking and Offer Negotiations in a timely manner are near to impossible. As a result, good candidates can get disillusioned and lose interest, or get snapped up elsewhere.
The Process
1. We arrange a meeting at your site to discuss your requirements and establish a Job Description
2. We supply you with our Terms and Conditions of Business and Placement Fee outline for the position
3. We do a search on our database for suitable candidates and advertise if necessary
4. We forward suitable resumes to you for your consideration
5. We arrange a suitable interview time for desired candidates at your premises
6. We get feedback from interviewed candidates and provide this to you
7. We arrange to perform Reference Checks at your request on shortlisted candidates
8. We assist you with arranging of Second Interview, Testing, and/or Medical as required.
9. We communicate the offer verbally on your behalf and provide feedback from the Candidate
10. We facilitate the Final Written Offer on your behalf and confirm a start date
11. We keep in contact with yourself and the Candidate at regular intervals after the Start Date to ensure satisfaction on both parts.
